City Opens Parker Park Pool

Mayor Harold Copenhaver and other city officials were on hand June 14 for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the grand opening of the new pool at Parker Park Community Center, 1506 N. Church St. Special guest LaToshia Woods had the honor of cutting the ribbon in memory of her late husband, Rennell Woods, former city councilman and advocate for Jonesboro youth. Summer hours are 1-6 p.m. daily. Admission is $6 for adults (16 years and older), $4 for youth (15 years and younger; must be accompanied by an adult) and $4 for seniors.
