CHEF 100th AED Placement Presentation
The Community Health Education Foundation (CHEF) placed its 100th automated external defibrillator through its AED Placement Program during a presentation held May 3 at Embassy Suites by Hilton Jonesboro Red Wolf Convention Center. David Daniel and Harold Perrin, AED Placement Campaign co-chairmen, presented 10 AEDS to entities across Northeast Arkansas. This year’s recipients included the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department, the Pocahontas Police Department, Focus, Inc., Day Development Treatment Center and the Brookland Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to the presentation, the AED co-chairs and CHEF Executive Director Emily Lard, announced that the nonprofit has received approval to help 10 counties surrounding Jonesboro implement the PulsePoint AED Registry. The PulsePoint AED app will help the public and emergency responders locate AEDs on the app once they are registered in the community.
