Saturday, September 7
The Arkansas Baptist Children’s Homes & Family Ministries will host the fourth annual ICare 5K/Family Fun Run at Craighead Forest Park beginning at 7 a.m. The 3.1-mile course takes runners through the city-owned park that is situated in the scenic beauty of Crowley’s Ridge. Info: icare5k.com

The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library will host its annual Fall Arts and Crafts Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will include works by local artists, live music by local groups and food vendors. Info: (870) 935-5133.

The Delta Symphony Orchestra will host the 46th Season Gala at The Glass Factory in Downtown Jonesboro at 6 p.m. The event will feature dinner, live and silent auctions, live music and dancing with The Delta Big Band. Tickets are $125. Info: DSO, (870) 761-8254.

Saturday, September 14
Nettleton High School’s EAST students will host the fifth annual Touch a Truck Fundraiser on the NEA Baptist Medical Campus. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, contact Sandra Taylor at sandra.taylor@nettletonschools.net.

Friday, September 20
The Craighead County NAACP will host the inaugural Freedom Fund Gala at 6 p.m. at Centennial Hall on the Arkansas State University campus. The gala will recognize Craighead County individuals for their commitment to making Jonesboro a better place to live. Olly Neal Jr. will serve as the keynote speaker of the event. Game Day: The A-State Red Wolves take on Southern Illinois at Centennial Bank Stadium. Kickoff is at 6 p.m.

September 27-30
The Foundation of Arts will present “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” Sept. 27, 28 and 30 at 7:30 p.m. and Sept. 29 at 2 p.m. at The Forum Theatre in Downtown Jonesboro. Tickets can be purchased by calling The Forum Box Office at (870) 935-2726 or by visiting foajonesboro.org.

September 27-28
Participating teams will have the opportunity to win up to $10,000 in cash and prizes during the 11th annual Downtown Jonesboro BBQ & Music Festival. Friday, September 27
