Throughout July
The Arkansas State University Museum, located adjacent to the Dean B. Ellis Library, is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Info: astate.edu/museum or (870) 972-2074.

The Forrest L. Wood Crowley’s Ridge Nature Center, 600 E. Lawson Road, is open to the public Wednesday through Saturday each week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Info: (870) 933-6787 or visit crowleysridge.org.

Saturday, July 3
Visit the ASU Regional Farmer’s Market, located on the corner of Aggie Road and Stadium Boulevard on the campus of Arkansas State University, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for locally-grown produce, beef, pork, handmade crafts, live music and more. Info: asuregionalfarmersmarket.org. Also open the following Saturdays: July 10, 17, 24 and 31.

KFIN 107.9 will present 4th Fest 2021, a free fireworks show, at 9 p.m. at Joe Mack Campbell Park. Info: Visit kfin.com.

Sunday, July 4
Jonesboro Radio Group will present Freedom Fest at the Southside Softball Complex beginning at 9:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Info: (870) 933-8800.

Tuesday, July 6
The ASU Regional Farmer’s Market, located on the corner of Aggie Road and Stadium Boulevard on the campus of Arkansas State University, will be open on Tuesdays during the summer from noon to 5 p.m. Shop for locally-grown produce, beef, pork, handmade crafts, plants and more. Saturday and Sunday, July 17-18
Local Fest 2021, a music and cultural arts festival featuring local artists, musicians and businesses, is scheduled to be held in Downtown Jonesboro. Info: Local Fest on Facebook.

Friday and Saturday, July 30-31

Join the staff of The Forrest L. Wood Crowley’s Ridge Nature Center, 600 E. Lawson Road, for a Nature Center Cleanup from 9:30-11 a.m. Volunteers (individuals, church and civic groups, etc.) are asked to meet on the front porch of the nature center. The Forrest L. Wood Crowley’s Ridge Nature Center, 600 E. Lawson Road, will host a free workshop, Gardening 101: Native Plants, from 1-4 p.m. Led by Jennifer Reed, a local science teacher and botanist, participants will learn about native plant gardening in Arkansas.
