Tuesday, August 3
The ASU Regional Farmer’s Market, located on the corner of Aggie Road and Stadium Boulevard on the campus of Arkansas State University, will be open on Tuesdays during the summer from noon to 5 p.m. Shop for locally-grown produce, beef, pork, handmade crafts, plants and more. Friday, August 6
Don Howard will be the featured entertainer as The Foundation of Arts continues its First Fridays concert series at Rotary Club of Jonesboro Centennial Plaza, located in front of The Forum Theatre. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Admission for the event is “pay what you can.”

Saturday, August 7

Thursday, August 26
The Gardens at Harmony will host the Dog Days of Summer from 6-9 p.m. The event will include a photo contest, baggo tournament, dogs and suds, ice cream and live music by High Maintenance. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society and AERC Angels 4 Animals. Tickets are $250 for a table of eight or $35 each. To purchase tickets, call (870) 268-6500.

Friday and Saturday, August 27-28
United Way of Northeast Arkansas will host Batting for a Better Tomorrow at the Southside Softball Complex in Jonesboro, a double-elimination, gold-ring tournament including divisions for 8U, 10U-16U/HS and junior high. The Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Back the Pack Rally at Embassy Suites Red Wolf Convention Center in conjunction with Paint the Town Red Week, Aug. 30-Sept. 4.

Saturday, September 4
