Since opening in Downtown Jonesboro in 2004, Eden Medical Spa and Boutique has continued to grow and expand its selection of cosmetic medicine procedures and trendy clothing and accessories. With the recent addition of Noah – The Children’s Boutique, which will carry everything from traditional Southern smocking for babies to tween accessories and more, the business is again expanding all that it offers under one roof.

Dr. Brooke Gibson bought Eden Medical Spa and Boutique three years ago. When the family practice physician is not working at St. Bernards Medical Center, she is busy at Eden doing cosmetic procedures such as Botox, filler injections, laser procedures and more.

Throughout the past year, in addition to adding a few children’s accessories to Eden’s inventory, Gibson also added several items for moms to use both during and after pregnancy. Once she saw the demand was there, Gibson bought the space next door to Eden and decided to open a children’s boutique. “After talking with Eden customers and being a mom myself who shops for my own two children, we felt like the time was right to open a new children’s boutique in town,” said Gibson. “Although I love women’s retail, children’s retail is a little closer to home for me. My father owned Westbrook’s children shop in Downtown Blytheville when I was growing up, so when I think of a children’s
boutique, I’m reminded of a lot of great childhood memories.”

Gibson and her husband, Steve, are parents to 4-year-old Noah and 3-year-old Eden, making the addition of Noah – The Children’s Boutique to Eden Medical Spa and Boutique a perfect fit for the family.

“When I bought Eden, it was a coincidence that I happened to have a little girl named Eden,” said Gibson. “We always joked saying that my son, Noah, might feel left out thinking we named a store after our daughter. When we decided to open the children’s store, I thought it would be perfect to include him, so the name quickly became Noah – The Children’s Boutique.”

The Downtown Jonesboro children’s store will carry a wide variety of merchandise for moms, babies, children, tweens and more. The store carries girls clothing from newborn to size 16 and boys clothing from newborn to size 12. While the boutique is full of traditional sweet pastels, ruffles and smocked styles, it also offers a large selection of vintage and contemporary looks for children.

For babies, there are more casual styles available, as well as outfits for special occasions such as baby dedications, family photos and more. Noah will also carry baby accessories, such as trendy diaper bags, jewelry, shoes, Sassy pacifiers, Bibles and unique gifts like Rockabye Baby! Lullabies. Monogram services are available, and the store offers baby registry, as well.

For older children, Noah offers a large selection of trendy jeans, tops, shoes and accessories, including handbags, jewelry, hair accessories and more.

When it comes to skincare, Noah carries organic skin care products for baby and mom, including lotions, bath products and laundry detergents specifically designed for pregnancy and newborns.

“Jonesboro has some great children’s stores, but Jonesboro is growing, so we wanted to offer some additional choices,” said Gibson. “We want there to be options for every style, price range and occasion. We will have everything from christening gowns to play outfits, accessories for babies as well as preteens, jewelry, skin care and … bedding and items for the nursery, as well.”

Gibson anticipates that Noah will fit in well with her other businesses, as well as with an expanding and thriving Downtown Jonesboro.

“Downtown is growing, and we are excited to add another business to Union Street,” said Gibson. “Although the businesses are different, customers can easily shop at both places if they want to. I think each place will add something special to the other. For example, an expecting mom can register her baby shower with us, take care of her skin with our Novena pregnancy skincare products, enjoy a pregnancy massage and even let us cater her shower in our relaxation room if she wishes. We want to offer the best of both worlds under one roof.

“We have had a great community response so far. One thing we have done from the beginning is listen to our Eden customers. We went to market and have worked hard to build this business based on what the people have asked for. We are always open to new ideas, and we truly want the community to like the store. We want our customers to be excited and feel like they are taken care of (while) shopping local.”

For Gibson, who was diagnosed with type 1 juvenile diabetes as a child, her work at St. Bernards Medical Center, Eden and Noah is truly rewarding. She enjoys making people happy and is looking forward to the ways her expanding businesses will enable her to meet and touch more people every day.

“God has blessed me in that I have a job where I can truly help people when they need it most – when they are sick,” she said. “At 11, I was diagnosed with type 1 juvenile diabetes, and through being a patient, I decided to become a doctor so I could help others like I had been helped along the way. “I bought Eden because I love cosmetic medicine, as well.

Although my Eden clients aren’t usually sick like my hospital patients, it’s very rewarding to see smiles and sometimes tears when someone feels better about themselves. The retail part of Eden and the children’s boutique will add to all of that. Getting to live life with the best employees I could ask for and meeting new people every day in the boutique makes me feel very blessed and fortunate to be a part of it all.”
