retail report
Story and Photos By Jodi Hutchison

Shopping at resale and consignment stores is a great way to help the environment because it recycles unwanted clothing and other household goods and keeps them out of landfills. These types of stores can be a veritable treasure trove of spectacular finds. Unique items one could never pick up at traditional retailers are always available. And what’s even better is that secondhand home décor, clothing, toys and more can be found locally for pennies on the dollar.
The businesses listed below are a small sampling of the numerous secondhand stores in Jonesboro.

Lazy Daisy Décor, 2502 Glenwood, (870) 268-2225. This furniture and home décor consignment shop showcases merchandise in arrangements that recreate residential living spaces. Furniture, bedding, glassware, lamps, pictures, rugs and other decorative items available for the home can be found at Lazy Daisy.
Owner Sandy Blakenship notes that her store is unique in that it is one of the very few consignment stores in the area that focuses exclusively on better furniture and home accessories.

Pick up and delivery service is available for a small fee, and Blankenship also offers in-store and in-home decorating consultation. Tues.-Fri. 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sat. 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
