parents of the pack
by Audrey Poff
In anticipation of the upcoming Red Wolves football season, Jonesboro.com has recruited several parents to provide their perspective as they follow their sons during the course of the season by contributing to a blog titled “Parents of the Pack.”
“We began the blog last year with posts by Tammi Tryon of Jonesboro, whose son, Andrew, is a defensive back for ASU,” said Audrey Poff, chief executive officer of Occasions Publishing Group. “It was great to be able to share Tammi’s experience as a Red Wolves parent with our readers, especially with the success the team had last year. This year, we are expanding the blog to be able to include more posts from additional parents.”
Parents of the Pack contributors for the 2012 season will include: Tammi Tryon of Jonesboro, mother of Andrew Tryon; Randy Barnhill of Mountain Home, father of Brock Barnhill and former left guard for ASU from 1983-86 (Associated Press, Kodak and Football News All-America, first team); Archie and Angie Mason of Jonesboro, parents of Taylor Mason; and Dave and Belinda Ferguson of Jonesboro, parents of incoming freshman Luke Ferguson.
“These parents have students who are obviously at different levels of their college football career,” Poff said, “but the one thing they have in common is their excitement for the upcoming season and their passion for Red Wolves football. We appreciate their willingness to share their unique perspective as parents with our readers throughout the season.”
