The City of Jonesboro will host the fifth annual Volunteer Appreciation Gala at 6 p.m. at St. Bernards Auditorium. The city will collaborate with several local nonprofit organizations to recognize community volunteers during the gala. The theme of this year’s event is “The Roaring Twenties.” Tickets are $25. Saturday, November 3

Join the cast of The Nutcracker Ballet at Breakfast with Ballerinas, hosted by The Foundation of Arts. The American Cancer Society of Northeast Arkansas will host the inaugural Cattle Baron’s Ball at The Silos beginning at 7 p.m. This event is a Western-inspired ball that will feature food, entertainment, games, a silent auction and more. Joey Glaub Art will host a Holiday Pet Photos event from 5-9 p.m. on Nov. 13, 5-9 p.m. on Nov. 15, and Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society. Thursday, November 22
Join St. Bernards on Thanksgiving Day for its annual Turkey Trot at the softball fields at Craighead Forest Park starting at 9 a.m. Participants may choose to walk or jog the event with three- and six-mile options, with cyclists also being able to bike the trail.
