July 2020 Events

Friday, July 3
4th Fest 2020, presented by NEA Baptist and East Arkansas Broadcasters, will take place Friday with a fireworks show at 9 p.m. at Joe Mack Campbell Park. Guests can either watch the fireworks from their vehicles or spread out across the 120 acres of the park. Social distancing will be enforced. Info: (870) 934-5000.

Saturday, July 4
The Jonesboro Radio Group will sponsor Freedom Fest starting at 9:30 p.m. at the Southside Softball Complex on Stadium Boulevard. Viewers are invited to view the show from their vehicle or bring lawn chairs. Masks must be worn when guests leave their vehicles and remain six feet apart. July 7 and 9
Preliminaries for The Foundation of Arts' Jonesboro's Got Talent competition begins July 7 at 6:30 p.m. for ages 9-14 and July 9 at 6:30 for ages 15 and up. Members of the community are invited to come out to Rotary Club of Jonesboro Centennial Plaza and vote for their favorite competitors. Final rounds for the competition will be held on August 4 and 6. July 10 and 17
The Foundation of Arts will host Plaza Fridays at the Rotary Club of Jonesboro Centennial Plaza beginning at 7:30 p.m. Guests will have the opportunity to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy a live performance by the Doc Owens Band on July 10 and the Nancy & John Duo on July 17. July 4, 11, 18 and 25
The ASU Regional Farmers Market, located at 3350 Aggie Road, will be open every Saturday in July from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The outdoor market requires all guests to wear masks and remain six feet apart from each other. Info and updates: asuregionalfarmersmarket.org.

July 5, 12, 19 and 26
Local musician Dalanie Taylor will host her Sunday Sessions concert on Facebook live beginning at 7 p.m. Though not required, virtual tips are accepted during the performance. Info and updates: Dalanie Taylor on Facebook.

Friday, July 17
The NEA Children’s Advocacy Center will hold a Virtual Day of Giving to help meet its goal of raising $19,000 to take the mask off child abuse. An online auction will be held July 14-17. All donations and silent auction sales are tax deductible and benefit the Northeast Arkansas Children’s Advocacy Center. Art House, an art gallery and event space in Downtown Jonesboro, will host "The Art of Quarantine: An Exhibition" from 6-9 p.m. The exhibition will feature local artists and the art they have created while in quarantine. This show also seres as a one-year clebration for the gallery. Info: Art House on Facebook.

Saturday, July 18
Walk, Run, Ride for your Ribbon, hosted by Gearhead Outfitters and St. Bernards, will be a virtual event during which participants can either run, walk or bike their preferred distance. Participants can sign up by visiting racesonline.com and searching “Walk, Run, Ride for Your Ribbon,” where they can choose a distance and print their race bib. July 24-25
The Foundation of Arts will present “The Wizard of Oz” July 24 at 6 p.m. and July 25 at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. at The Forum Theatre.
