First Security Bank of Jonesboro is holding a Stuffed For Comfort toy drive all month long in support of Larry and Judy Kimbrough with the Knights of Columbus. The stuffed toys donated at any of Jonesboro locations will go to first responders who will give the toys to children in emergency situations. Info: (870) 930-2500.

Tuesday, July 3
4th Fest 2018, presented by Bayird Auto Group, Ashley HomeStore and East Arkansas Broadcasters, will begin Tuesday with a fireworks show at 9 p.m. at Joe Mack Campbell Park. The event continues July 4 at 9 a.m. with a “Red, White and Blue Color Run,” an untimed race for the whole family where participants are doused in patriotic-colored powder as they make their way through the course. Wednesday, July 4
KAIT and the Jonesboro Radio Group will sponsor Freedom Fest starting at 9:30 p.m. at the Southside Softball Complex on Stadium Boulevard. The public is invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the free fireworks show. Info: (870) 933-8800.

Saturday, July 14
The 10th annual ACH Charity Open will be held from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Sage Meadows Golf Course. All proceeds from this four-person golf scramble will benefit Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Info: achcharityopen.net or Daniel Herron, (501) 412-6437.

Thursday, July 19
Join the Downtown Jonesboro Association at this month’s Alive After Five: Block Party, located in the parking lot beside Eleanor’s Pizzeria from 5-8 p.m. The market offers artisan products, locally handmade and produced fares, live music and children’s activities. Info: (870) 919-6176.

Skinny J’s, featuring Bell’s Brewery, will host Pints for Paws from 5-8 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit the NEA Humane Society. Info: (870) 935-5185.

Saturday, July 21
Ride for your Ribbon will begin at St. Bernards Health & Wellness Center at 7 a.m. All proceeds from the ride, previously known as Arkansas Ride for the Cure, will benefit the St. Bernards Cancer Center. Participants can choose from an eight-mile family fun ride, a 25-mile ride or a 50-mile course. Info: (870) 207-7300.

The Threads of Life Quilt Show, hosted by the Women’s Advisory Council of the St. Bernards Development Foundation, will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and again on Sunday, June 22 from 1-4 p.m. at the Blessed Sacrament School Cafeteria, 1105 East Highland Drive. Friday, July 27

The seventh annual Helmets and Heels, sponsored by St. Bernards Healthcare and hosted by the Red Wolves Foundation, will be held at Centennial Bank Stadium.
